Wiser Consultants is seeking a Structural Engineer to work on multi-discipline project teams providing structural engineering and related technical expertise. Project assignments may include design and analysis, project management, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating, and construction observation.

This individual will also have an opportunity to play a role in day-to-day client service and business development. Business development activities may include building and maintaining client relationships, tracking of marketing leads and project opportunities, development of proposals and presentations, and networking and working to inform clients of the full range of capabilities offered by the firm.

Location: Murfreesboro, TN

Minimum Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or Related Discipline

3+ years of experience directly related to the job responsibilities described above

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients

Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness

Willingness to work in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative

A flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs

Demonstrated project organization and management skills

Work experience with AutoCAD, Geopak MicroStation

Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship

Acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of related work experience

Experience with 3D software 

Strong technical and problem-solving skills in a wide range of structural analysis and design

Experience in the consulting industry

Demonstrated ability to work independently and with teams of multiple disciplines

Demonstrated business development and client relationship development skills

Established network with area clients and the ability to develop or foster ongoing relationships and maintain a high level of client service
