Job Description
Work as part of Data Engineering team at CVS Health in a fast paced and ever-changing environment to make machine-generated big data more accessible to thousands of customers for searching, analyzing, visualizing and alerting.

The candidate will be part of a team of architects and engineers supporting an on-premise, large-scale, distributed Splunk deployment, helping to drive adoption, maintain health of the environment and provide support and assistance to new and existing customers.

This candidate can work remotely from anywhere in the US.

Required Qualifications
-5 plus years of experience supporting IT systems or applications.
-2 + years of experience supporting a distributed Linux Splunk infrastructure (clustered and standalone) including search heads, indexers, deployment servers, universal, intermediate and heavy forwarders.
- Knowledge of Linux command line and basic Linux commands and scripting.
- Highly efficient in working in an environment with multiple customers and prioritizing work to achieve department goals and meeting/exceeding customer expectations.
- Knowledge of Windows command line and basic commands and scripting.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
-Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security and ITSI products.
-Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin or Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect
-Python and/or Perl scripting experience to assist with the creation and modification of code that automates day to day Splunk tasks.
-Great communicator and able to work as part of a diverse, geographically dispersed team.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
