Job Summary
AECOM has an immediate opening in our Chattanooga, TN office for a Project Manager in our Water Group.  Responsibilities of the position includes, but not limited to:
  • Project management of projects for Water Group, including wastewater, water, and water resources related projects.
  • Learns and implements AECOM’s project management systems and requirements.
  • Interacts with Clients to deliver project work and to market for future work.
  • Evaluates and guides the development of engineering solutions.
  • Mentors project team staff.
  • Delivers projects in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 6-12 years of experience relevant to municipal or private sector water/wastewater/water resources
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Professional Engineer in Tennessee or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver on time and within budget
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of local codes, development processes, and utility regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to work with clients to provide long-term solutions and maintain/develop strong client relationships
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance in his/her area of expertise related to water/wastewater/water resources

Preferred Qualifications
  • Good understanding of local and regional markets and able to support marketing effort in pursuing work
  • Experience or interest in business operations and internal finance
  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
