Certified Special Education Teacher needed for a Private, Non -Traditional School

Applicants must possess:

Educational and experiential background that enables them to participate in the overall treatment program and to meet the emotional and developmental needs of students served.

Personal characteristics and temperament suitable for working with children with special needs.

Individual responsibilities are to:

Assess whether students are ready for placement in local school of zone.

Develop and assure individual education plans for all special education students.

Oversee GED preparation and GED exam.

Assist in collecting and transferring student's educational records.

Assist in student treatment team to plan educational placement and goals.

Train other facility staff in areas related to education.

direct supervision of other school staff
